Mr. Ban Ki-moon
UN Secretary General

WYCAT strongly condemns the air strikes that are taking place in Libya. WYCAT expresses serious concern over continuing violence, strife and deteriorating humanitarian situation in Libya.

WYCAT views the military strikes by NATO forces comprising of France, Britain and the United States as a dangerous act of aggression. This heinous act of aggression, in the name of protecting the Libyan people, is a naked intervention in the internal affairs of Libya's sovereignty and a calculated move to install a proxy regime there.

WYCAT states that in the name of protecting the Libyan people, this act of aggression is a gross violation of Libya's sovereignty and a calculated intervention in an internal conflict to bring about regime change.

WYCAT calls upon all parties to abjure use of or the threat of use of force and to resolve their differences through peaceful means and dialogue in which the UN and regional organizations should play their roles.
